On January 24, 2025, at 5:17 PM, Hwang Jin Yong tragically passed away at the age of 65 from acute myocardial infarction. This upload is our tribute to his memory and the timeless beauty of his work.

This collection celebrates the life and artistry of Hwang Jin Yong, a composer whose unwavering loyalty to his party and leader, as well as his fervent love for the socialist system and people, illuminated his lifetime of creative contributions. Tragically, Hwang Jin Yong passed away on January 24, 2025, at 5:17 PM, at the age of 65, due to acute myocardial infarction.

We are sharing this performance to honor the memory of Kim Kwang Suk on the 7th anniversary of her passing. Her artistry continues to inspire and move us.

Kim Kwang Suk, a famous singer from DPRK, was born in 1964 in Pyongyang. She studied at the Pyongyang University of Music and Dance and received a title of Honored Artist. In 1986, she joined the newly created Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble. In 1991, she went to a concert tour to Japan. Worked in the ensemble until its dissolution in 2008, after which she appeared on the stage sporadically. After the dissolution she worked in the Mangyongdae Children's Palace in Pyongyang until her demise. On 14th January of 2018, the Respected Leader Kim Jong Un sent a wreath to the bier of Kim Kwang Suk (at that time People's Artist).
