The situation on the Korean Peninsula is increasingly approaching a dangerous stage, where it may spiral out of control.
The whole world is closely and deeply concerned, watching the tense confrontation between nuclear powers, which has reached the brink of warlike danger.
This serious situation entirely results from the reckless and despotic actions of the United States and its supporters, who seek to suppress the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
As the world well knows, the DPRK, since the beginning of this year, aiming to achieve fresh development and progress in its economic construction and raise living standards for its people, has focused all efforts on easing military tensions and maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the region.
However, hostile forces led by the United States, like in the past, have persistently insisted on dangerous acts of hostility, blatantly violating the sovereignty and security interests of the DPRK; and the seriousness of these actions and the threat they pose have surpassed the limits of tolerance.
In January, during his trip to South Korea, the U.S. Secretary of State stated that the United States would deploy more strategic assets there, such as fifth-generation stealth fighters and aircraft carriers, unhesitatingly expressing the intention to use nuclear weapons against the DPRK. Meanwhile, the puppet traitor Yoon Suk Yeol, obsessively bent on confrontation with his own people, spoke from a subterranean air defense shelter about adopting a “readiness posture” and “punishment”.
Warmongers, filled with bravado and blind audacity, declared that more than 20 rounds of joint military exercises would take place in the first half of this year, at a higher level than the previous “Foal Eagle”. They organized reckless war games aimed at the DPRK, in which they practiced infiltration and joint strikes against strategic targets and key objectives in the country.
Speaking about the constant presence of “expanded deterrence”, the United States brought key strategic air weapons to the Korean Peninsula in February, including nuclear B-1B bombers, F-22, F-35B, and other stealth fighters, to repeatedly carry out aerial exercises aimed at the DPRK over the Yellow Sea.
At the end of February, U.S. imperialists, along with their South Korean puppets, carried out “expanded deterrence exercises” in the U.S., as if recognizing that the issue of carrying out a preemptive nuclear strike on the DPRK was already settled, and announced that they would continue to steadily deploy strategic nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula.
Such reckless pushing towards military confrontation and hostile actions have brought the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of explosion in March.
Guided by the nefarious intention to increase military pressure on the DPRK, the United States sent nuclear submarines, one of the most important strategic assets of the U.S. Navy, as well as Aegis destroyers, to South Korea.
On March 1, U.S. and South Korean warmongers brought the latest U.S. Navy tracking ship “Howard Lorenzen” to the East Sea of Korea, using RC-135S planes and other intelligence resources for espionage activities. On March 3, for the fourth time this year, they organized aerial exercises over the East Sea of Korea with the use of B-1B strategic bombers, MQ-9 Reaper combat drones, infamously known as “sky killers”, and other strategic equipment.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean puppet army, along with his superior, arrived at the site of special operations exercises, where they were training for a “decapitation operation” aimed at launching a surprise attack on strategic points in the DPRK, and also inspected several military units in the frontline area. There, they tried to instill extreme confrontational hysteria in the soldiers, saying that “the enemy has already begun its provocation” and that “they will inflict punishment”.
Despite the deteriorating military-political situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the region, on March 6, the United States organized the fifth round of joint aerial exercises involving B-52 strategic bombers, and on March 13, began large-scale joint military exercises “Freedom Shield” with South Korea.
The reality clearly shows that the threat of nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula is moving from the stage of imagination to reality.
The seriousness of the situation lies in the fact that all these joint military exercises, which the United States carries out with its puppets, are provocative attempts and preparations for a nuclear attack, simulating total war against the DPRK.
As for the joint amphibious exercises “Ssangryong”, aimed at “occupying Pyongyang”, the United States resumed them five years after they were suspended and openly boast about the intention to increase their scale and scope to the highest level in history.
U.S. imperialists describe their war exercises as “defensive”, but this is a sophism they use to try to convince people that black is white.
This year and last year, the United States has brought strategic nuclear B-52H bombers, supersonic B-1B bombers, nuclear aircraft carriers, nuclear attack submarines, and F-35 fighters to the Korean Peninsula and its surrounding area. They cannot deny that this is not defensive weaponry, but rather the most offensive military equipment designed for strategic strike missions.
No one will believe that the constant deployment of U.S. strategic nuclear assets on the Korean Peninsula, and things like amphibious and infiltration exercises, surprise landings, or strikes carried out by special units in scenarios simulating “regime change”, “decapitation”, or “occupation of Pyongyang”, have anything to do with defense.
Currently, hostile forces on one side resort to dangerous military moves, while on the other hand, they are searching for a non-existent “human rights problem” in the DPRK, desperately trying to isolate and suppress it through unethical and unlawful sanctions.
The United States and its vassals create and spread all kinds of fairy tales about a “threat” from the DPRK, demonizing it at the UN and other international forums, and acting immorally to prevent the importation of goods needed by our people for daily life, labeling them as “luxury items”.
Unable to continue isolating the DPRK internationally with the “nuclear issue”, the United States mobilizes its vassals, who are mere scum, to organize such activities with their participation in the international arena…
