Students in the DPRK significantly celebrated the 78th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean Children’s Union.
They paid floral tribute to the statues of Generals Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders, while travelling across the country. Joint meetings, sessions of the Korean Children’s Union, and gatherings of young activists who exemplified the qualities and stages of pride as members of the Korean Children’s Union took place in youth league committees of provinces, cities, and counties, as well as in children’s union organisations in schools.
Across the country, schoolchildren performed, and dance events as well as sports and recreational games took place, which enlivened the festive atmosphere.
Senior officials of the party and government bodies at the provincial, city, and county levels congratulated the members of the Korean Children’s Union on the celebration of the holiday.
