School-age children presented the artistic performance “Our Happy Holiday Under the Warm Care of the Dear Respected Marshal” at the Outdoor Theatre in the Youth Park in Pyongyang on June 5 to mark the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Children’s Union.

Among the audience were Ri Tu Song, Director of the Department of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Mun Chol, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, representatives of the youth league, students from the revolutionary schools Mangyongdae and Kang Pan Sok, participants in the celebrations of the 78th anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union, and students from all over the city.

The performance began with the prologue “March of the Children’s Union.” The stage featured colorful numbers that showcased the weather and joy of children growing up on the solid pillars of socialist Korea.

The performers praised the immortal deeds of the Great Leader, General Kim Il Sung, and the Great Leader, General Kim Jong Il, who dedicated themselves to raising the members of the Korean Children’s Union into true sons and daughters of the homeland.

The folk solo and choir “Our Father is the Best” were particularly well received by the audience, highlighting the great care and love shown by the Dear Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. The leader treats working with the younger generation as the most important task of the party and the state, sparing no resources for the children.

The stage also presented numbers that vividly depicted the liveliness and happiness of children realizing their dreams and hopes, learning with enthusiasm within the benefits of the socialist education system.

The climax of the performance included a violin solo “Series of Revolutionary Songs,” the dance “We Will Inherit the Spirit of the Heroic Youth,” and other numbers reflecting the will of the members of the Korean Children’s Union to resolutely follow the path of loyalty and patriotism, following the noble spirit of the anti-Japanese children’s corps and children’s partisans during the war for the liberation of the homeland.

The performance concluded with the poem and choir “Always Ready for the Socialist Homeland” and the epilogue “Dear Father.” They showed the pledge of the younger generation to steadfastly prepare for the role of successors of the revolution, who unconditionally believe in and follow only the Dear Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
