The Central School of Party Cadres of the Workers’ Party of Korea, with the best image of the prestigious revolutionary university training the backbone of the WPK, which will unfailingly carry the sacred ideal and spirit of its founding to perfectly guarantee the rosy future of the Juche cause, was opened on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of its establishment.
The opening ceremony of the school took place with great splendor on June 1st.
Its location was full of boundless pride and honour of the students who will learn the true truth about building the Party and working in the great era of Kim Jong Un in a world-class political-ideological school associated with the deep trust of the Central Committee of the Party, the great expectations of the country and people, and all Party members, as well as the noble mission and emotions of the educators who stood on the holy platform for the future of the Party.
Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, attended the ceremony.
When he arrived at the school, cheers of “Hooray!” echoed across the campus.
The teaching staff and students of the school expressed their sincere gratitude, looking up to the Dear General Secretary, who built the highest educational institution to ensure the vitality of the great Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party and its always victorious leadership forever and came again to the opening ceremony after the great inauguration ceremony to repeatedly show high glory and trust in them.
In response to the enthusiastic cheers of the participants, the General Secretary warmly congratulated all the teaching staff and students of the school who had the honour of participating in its grand opening ceremony in the new buildings on the historic anniversary of its establishment, with the blessings of the entire Party.
Present at the opening ceremony were Director Ri Yong Sik, Secretary of the Basic Party Committee Paek Hyong Chol, and other officials from the school, its teaching staff, and students.
Also present were members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, who are to attend a training course in accordance with the Party’s policy on in-service training.

I am very pleased to participate in this opening ceremony of the new school year, which takes place today on the anniversary of the establishment of the Central School of Party Cadres of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The pride and joy of the teachers who are to deliver the first lecture in this great institution of revolution, which is respected by millions of our Party members, and the students who will receive the first lesson, unforgettable for life, are also incomparable.
Today is truly a valuable and exciting day.
Seeing you, comrades, standing in a beautiful line on the new campus, I can hardly contain my emotions, imagining the day when our great expectations and sincere efforts will bear concrete fruits.
The main pillars of our Party, who can play a major role in its construction and activities, and the outstanding figures of our Party, who can hold important positions in politics, economy, culture, and defense, will be trained here. Thinking about this, I feel proud that I have carried out the most precious work for the Party, the country, and the people.
In past years, there have been many unforgettable great festivals and extraordinary events, but today’s experience of looking into the future of the Workers’ Party of Korea in this place will not be forgotten throughout my life, I think.
History will record this opening ceremony, together with the inauguration ceremony last May, as a strategic step, the significance of which will become clearer and more vivid after ten or twenty years, and as a significant ceremony that promised a brighter future for our Party and country.

A new era of building the Workers’ Party of Korea, a golden age of strengthening the Party, is opening right now.
Once again, sending the warmest and most heartfelt congratulations on the opening of this glorious political school, I would like to appeal to you, comrades, who renew your pledge, as you will play a leading role in building the Party in the new era.
Our efforts to bring in a new era of Party building have already passed the stage of planning, formulating theories, and designing; they have entered the radical stage of practice and have become an immediate task for building socialism.
The demand for talented Party activists who can become the pillars in building a powerful, civilised, and advanced state through correct understanding and application of the ideas and lines of the Central Committee of the Party is very urgent.
Talented Party cadres capable of guiding the development of all areas of politics, military, economy, culture, and all regions are the most precious and decisive resources for the ruling Party, and their role becomes even more important as the revolution and construction progress.
With the fact that the characteristic feature of this school is the training of Party cadres who will build a people’s state that can radiate its brilliance to the whole world, the mission of the school is more honourable, and you will feel the weight of responsibility on your shoulders.
What I expect from the teachers and officials of the Central School of Cadres is to train all students to become competent activists who can lead the entire Party and competent officials who can energetically lead all areas of the state and society along the path of progressive and civilised development.
You should dedicate all your qualifications as educators, your Party conscience, and revolutionary enthusiasm to training political activists who can lead our entire people, who have risen for the all-round development of socialism, and Party officials whom the people themselves emulate.
Honourable students of the highest political institution of the Republic,
You are the reserve cadres of our Party, who in the future will be responsible for Party work in one sector, one field, or one region. Therefore, you should put your heart and soul into achieving excellent academic results, in order to quickly acquire political knowledge and practical skills.
Your educational goals should not remain at any given level, nor should your burning enthusiasm for learning fade.
This entire campus should always be hot with your fervent desire to read and learn.
At this ceremony, more than 170 new students are participating, including those who are to be included in the two-year special Party-building course for the ninth postgraduate term and the two-year Party-building course for the 33rd term.
Since its establishment, this school has witnessed dozens of such opening ceremonies, but the fact that you are the first to enroll in the renovated school is an honour for you, which you can proudly record in your autobiography.
You should add brilliance to this pride and honour with your burning enthusiasm for learning and excellent academic results.
