The salvo was carried out using an integrated fire control system, which is part of the national nuclear weapons management system.
The exercise involved the 3rd Battalion of the 331st Red Flag Artillery Regiment, responsible for important fire tasks in the western border zone.
A secret order from the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea regarding the fire mission was passed on to the battalion’s companies, and the salvo was executed based on the integrated fire control system.
When Comrade Kim Jong Un issued the order to open fire from the observation post, General Jang Chang Ha, the Director General of the DPRK Missile Administration, commanded the fire attack.
At the moment when a loud explosion was heard, and streams of fire of enormous strength clearly demonstrated the DPRK’s will to defend its sovereignty and respond to the actions of the enemy.
The artillerymen, full of hostility towards the enemy and with a clearly defined objective, hit the island 365 km away, effectively completing the task of demonstrating strength.

He emphasized that the nuclear forces of the DPRK should be even more prepared for a quick and effective execution of the mission to prevent war and seize the initiative in any crisis situation.
The war means and the forces of preventive attack of the DPRK armed forces will maintain combat readiness, enhancing their capabilities to fulfill the important mission of deterring war and defending sovereignty.
